Professional Indemnity Insurance is compulsory for most professional businesses and services.
A professional indemnity insurance policy may cover you for areas such as libel or slander, professional neglect, malicious falsehood, copyright infringement, breach of confidentiality, and negligence.
Although there is an exemption for Employers Liability insurance if you are the only employee and own the majority of share capital we feel that if you want to be considered outside of IR35 your contract will have the right of substitution. If you have this right then your company will also be required to have employer's liability insurance in force.
