Friendly faces of accountancy
Introducing your Personal Accountants
One of the main things that differentiates ClearSky is our down-to-earth, no nonsense approach. And that wouldn't be possible without a team of accountants that breaks the mould; friendly and approachable, they give our personal service real personality.
The company is structured so that each client has a dedicated team working on their account who always knows exactly what's what. We've caught up with some of our lead accountants to get their take on life at ClearSky and to give you an idea of the kind of committed and enthusiastic individuals you'll be introduced to.

"I qualified as an accountant in November 94 and spent a while working in South Africa before coming to the UK. I joined ClearSky 8 years ago. That's the longest I've spent with one firm, and I put it down to the working culture and atmosphere. The no nonsense approach really strikes a chord with me and I particularly enjoy interacting with my team's clients on a daily basis. The whole company ethos is based on going out of our way to get the best for our clients. And if that means going round to their house to get accounts signed off, then that's what we do." |

"I recently joined ClearSky from a general accountancy practice, where I worked for 4 years after completing my degree and becoming a fully qualified ACA accountant. I was drawn to ClearSky because it seemed like the type of accountant that really broke the mould. Everyone's so friendly and down to earth and it's refreshing to work with accountants who are actively encouraged to get to know their clients and invest so much time in them. I'm a naturally ambitious and enthusiastic person and I think that rubs off on my clients. I genuinely want the best for them and of course I want to make sure that I'm personally achieving new things every day." |

"Funnily enough, I hated maths at school, but got into accountancy while studying Business Studies at university. Through hard work and intense training at Clearsky, I'm now a team leader with my own clients; and it's an achievement I'm very proud of. For me, it's not just about crunching numbers; I love having the chance to come up with solutions no one else has thought of. I enjoy the variety too; you never know what the day will throw at you. Someone might call with a routine question, or something quite specialist. Whatever it is, it's exciting to know that we're helping people make a real success out of their business." |

"I've always had my mind set on following an accountancy career since leaving school. I think it must have been in my genes as both my parents are in Finance. Before joining ClearSky I came from a large commercial background with no client interaction and this was a part of the job I felt I was missing out on. I love getting to know my clients, understanding their business and then helping them really get to grips with running it themselves. ClearSky is so focused on this that it's really refreshing and the commitment from everyone here is 110%. Outside of work I rarely sit down, I'm always on the go. My idea of relaxing is an adrenaline rushing bungee jump. Not everyone's cup of tea!" |

"I've been in accountancy now for nearly ten years and I wouldn't have chosen any other profession. I actually started working for ClearSky back in 2005 and worked here for 3 years before leaving to pursue other opportunities. I can honestly say that there isn't an accountancy practice I've seen that values their clients more than ClearSky, which is the reason I jumped at the chance to come back. It's very fast paced and I love the challenges I face here every day. I also enjoy the contractor specific aspect of working in this industry, all the intricate legislation keeps us on our toes. When I make it out of the office I enjoy playing cricket for a local team and even attempting to learn Spanish at the moment, although so far not very well!" |
