Role Overview:

We are looking to recruit someone starting out in their career for an Apprentice Tax Administrator role. As part of this role, you will complete your Business & Administration NVQ. You will be an important part of the tax team.

This is a great opportunity to join an ambitious and forward-thinking company. Your role as Apprentice Tax Administrator will include:

  • Opening and distributing the post
  • Scanning documents
  • Sending texts to clients regarding their progress
  • Handling email queries from accounting and tax teams, and from clients
  • Monitoring email inboxes and post, and distributing to colleagues
  • Performing a review of receipts/expenses
  • Performing bank statement reviews
  • Entering, exporting and submitting information using various systems
  • Checking and preparing letters to be sent to HMRC
  • Checking information on HMRC’s website
  • Filing

Personal Specification

  • Maths and English GCSE grade C or above
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working with numbers
  • The ability to maintain high levels of accuracy whilst meeting strict deadlines
  • Self motivated with a positive ‘can do’ attitude
  • A willingness to learn and develop knowledge
  • Good organisational skills
  • A friendly and helpful attitude
  • Able to work both individually and as part of a team
  • Good attention to detail
  • Flexible

Desirable:

  • Experience of working to meet deadlines
  • Experience of working as part of a team
  • Proficient in IT skills
