Offshore Partnerships – too good to be true?

What would you think if a man walked up to you in a pub and said that a UK person could work in the UK, providing his services to a UK client, and not have to pay any UK tax by simply routing the money through an offshore partnership?  I would imagine you would think he was either a liar or a drunk! Do you agree?
